S. Secrets to being a good employee (not in any particular order):

Be respectful to your boss

Be respectful to your fellow employees
|

Show up for work ten minutes early
|

Regardless of how you feel or how they look like they feel, say hello or good morning to everyone you meet and goodbye or goodnight when you leave.

Be a team player
|
|

Never threaten to quit to get a raise. If you believe you deserve one tell them why (ie. Good worker, bring in customers, saved the company money, you have become more valuable to company through knowledge or experience).
|
|
7.
|
If you don’t get the raise – ask management how you may improve your performance so that you will qualify for one (and when). Then earn it.
|
|
8.
|
Help the company achieve their goals and they will help you achieve yours.
|
|

|
Be a good listener
|
T. Don’t sweat the small stuff. It can make you miserable, give you ulcers and wrinkles.
U. Stop and smell the roses. Enjoy nature, animals and small children.
V. Learn something new every day
W. Smiles are free – give them away as fast as you can.
X. Your life is worth more than 10 minutes – slow down!
Y. Learn from those who are more knowledgeable than you; teach those who are less knowledgeable than you.
Z. Have fun
